is this board borked?

turns on, no display on the monitor tried 2 graphics cards

nb, sb, ram, cpu hsf are all cold

reset bios, same as above - no difference

whats going on? the board in question is someone elses rma from ocuk, thanks ocuk for another top quality rma item

It should be ok, it would simply run at 667. Perhaps the voltage isn't set high enough to allow it to post. Have any other cheap low voltage stuff lying around?

Funny, I was just about to post something regarding the same(?) board. I am getting the same symptoms from my P5N-E SLI. Don't RMA it yet!

I have had an intermittent problem where the machine won't boot with a few different failure modes:
- mobo won't post, no beeps, no display
- beeps, but then hangs part way though the hardware details display
- continuous beep, no display activity

In all cases these failures were cured by breaking the ATX power connector on the mobo and allowing 30 seconds for the energy to dissipate. After that, boots fine.
I updated the BIOS a few months ago and I believe it was at quite a mature stage.

I still don't know what the problem is, and would appreciate some advice.

Spec:
Core2 6600
2GB Geil 667MHz
8800 GTS
X-Fi
480W PSU
2x HD
1x DVD
Power consumption ~250W max

its the sli deluxe

EDIT - it doesnt support the core 2 duos or the e2140, or any of the 'e' based CPU's, error on OcUK's part for not providing me with a board that is compatable with my current equipment.
