Can anyone clear something up for me. I left fairly positive feedback yesterday for a replacement laptop screen I've installed, despite a bad pixel :

"Pity about the dead pixel but still, very good seller & fast delivery!. A++"

Reply from the seller:
"The auction clearly states it has a dead pixel, and its sold as grade A-"

I bought this on Buy it Now, Item Condition: New. It wasn't 'New other'. More than 10 available, 16 sold. The description at the very top is 'NEW AUO AU OPTRONICS B156XW02 V3 15.6" LED LEFT DISPLAY SCREEN MATTE AG GRADE A-'

There is nothing on the page that, imo, says what I'm buying specifically has a dead pixel. There is only what appears to me to be a general guideline to pixel policy.

What it says is:

'Item Specifics:

Size: 15.6” (diagonal viewable area)

Resolution: 1366 x 768 HD

Finish: Matte Anti-Glare

Connector type: 40 Pin, Bottom Left

Back light type: LED

Warranty: 2 Years

Pixel Policy: ISO: Class 1, IIS 1:1:1, E/Mail me for Manufacturer's IIS guidelines. 1 dead Pixel is not a fault.'

Saying '1 dead pixel is not a fault' may be true, but was I meant to know that the monitor actually HAS a dead pixel from that description and if not, do I have any comeback? I wouldn't have bought it had I known it had a dead pixel. It's not major, it's in the top left corner, http://s23.postimg.org/i6kqtfrcr/image.jpg but still, a little annoying.

The description is vague imo, and I think it should have been 'New other'.

'New other (see details)
The item may be a factory second, or a new and unused item with minor defects.'

In my opinion it should clearly state any known faults and be listed as new other.

I am fairly sure as it is not stated you would be entitled to a full refund.

Also if the seller is a shop buy it now listings fall under DSR so you could send it back anyway.

If the seller is problematic just contact paypal and they will get your money back for you, chances are the seller knows this and he will just sort it out anyway.
