well i was looking for a dead pixel checker turns out i have one on my 1920x1080 so ain't that bad really dosen't show white but it shows red instead.

did find something funny tho qouted from another site

"I'm a ******. I was trying to use Windows Magnifier to enlarge the dead pixel area to look at it better. I had it open for like 5 seconds, then like 'wait a minute'...

i remember a guy who pressed print screen ,pasted his desktop into photoshop and then put it on a forum asking about the dead pixels :D

its pretty useful just changes you whole screen into a selection of colours.
Try gently rubing the area of the screen around the pixel (emphasis on the word gently :p ) it sometimes sort of wakes the pixel up
 
Before you use physical methods, try using one of the programs that cycles the colours on your screen extremely quickly which may wake it up.

I managed to get rid of a lazy pixel by massaging it with my knuckle.. but suggested it to a friend who went a screwed that whole portion of his monitor up.
