Dead pixels??

Hi guys a black line has just appeared across my screen and won't go away after restarting etc. Its a brand new acer aspire 4820t laptop bought just before new

year. I tried to take a sceenshot of it but when i pasted it into paint the line wasn't there :confused:

im guessing this is a hardware fault and i should return it

to the shop??

Yeah it looks to me like your LCD screen has a fault.

I bought this from the guys with the purple shirts should they replace it for me or do i need to send it back to acer??

A screenshot wouldn't show up the problem. A screenshot takes an image of the output from the GPU, not an image of the screen. And yes, looks like a row of pixels have died. RMA time.

As it was recently bought, you should demand a direct replacement. Don't be fobbed off with "but it needs to go back to Acer".

contact the shop you brought it from they should replace it.
