What do you think about these system requirements? not much difference between the minimum and recommended, and very low requirements by today's standards. Who will be pre-ordering? or are you going to wait for a sale or to see reviews of the game first?
Discuss..

Played it to death the first time round to grab all the achievements.

I'll wait until it's cheap to play it again. :p

I bought on xbox 360 for £60 just to play this as well as a few others just to bring my childhood back. I still remember getting this the first christmas since this was out all those years ago was a brilliant game and I loved it :p haha

Hope it works better than the recent releases

I can't fully vouch for dead rising 2 since I had that on games for windows and no longer works and I only got to play it on my very old system i5-650 and GTX 460 and it wasn't perfect I think because of the dual core processing all the zombies etc. but dead rising 3 for instance runs smooth as silk if you unlock the fps limiter, granted I'm using a 980 Ti and even at 1440p holds a steady 60fps only at 4k is it in the mid 40s

Really interested in this. I had it for the 360, but when it first came out I didnt have a HD tv to play it on (unbelievable!), so the text was almost unreadable.

It helps that I cant remember much about the game either.

But.....I will probably wait for the reviews, unless I impulse buy from a cheap CD key reseller.

Does it have the same save system as the original? Not sure I could put up with that again :P. Was nothing more annoying than suddenly having to close the game but you couldn't because the nearest bathroom was miles away!

I think this game was the reason I bought a 360 if memory serves.

I'm not going to pre-order, I don't trust them to not mess this one up. Hopefully it's great though, one of my favourite games. Would love to see some cool mods too, always wanted to explore the mall at my own leisure with no zombies around and stuff. Just a great designed world.

All I remember from Dead Rising 1 was spending loads of time trying to take pictures of a guy who looked like Sherminator doing flips and jumps and not getting anywhere, timing it wrong or something, I remember it not really telling me how I was doing it wrong just that I was. Doing it over and over, as a timer ran out, or something, to finally randomly chance 'doing it right' even though I didn't remember doing it any different to the thousand previous pictures I took. To run outside onto the grass while people I could have saved died because I took so long taking pictures of this idiot, to get mown down by some guys in a jeep with a machine gun.

That's my single and only memory of Dead Rising 1. I still have a 360 and the game, but never went back to it. I would probably wait until this was £3.74 in a Steam sale, just so I could buy it and shoot Sherminator in the head for all the stupid pictures he made me take 5 years ago, then uninstall.

Money well spent if you ask me :D

Preload is live on Steam now only 4.8GB for now. Might be part 1 of the preload then part 2 on Monday. Also supposed to be a midnight release in UK so 11.59PM 12/09/16.

I re-played DR more times than any other game on my launch day 360, that I still have! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this thread, its awesome news!

Just pre ordered at GMG for little over £12. I totally forgot they were porting this so this is a really great surprise and I can't wait to get stuck in :D

Pray teach me your ways! I have a flipping 1070 and can't run DR3 without extreme stuttering!

I'm more than cautious to touch this new release after experiencing that.

Optimised for SSD's as well it takes 1sec to load a new area vs the 30-45 secs on Xbox 360. Gfx are not great but it looks reasonable upscaled to 4K :)
