**DEAD RISING 1 STEAM PRE-ORDER**

Dead Rising is in my all time top-10, and is the best game I've played in the last 10 years.

I've not played the sequels because the original was perfect and I didn't like the sound of the changes they introduced, but will definitely pick this up on PC when I get to a point when I have time to give it a good go.
 
Ok I said I would wait for the reviews...in point the only thing I waited for was checking the forums to see if it supported 21:9.....it does....I clicked and purchased.

Downloading now.
 
Games looks very ropey do not expect modern gfx its a 1:1 port of the 360 graphically so 10 year old low res upscaled textures & low poly counts everywhere.

Still has the same magic gameplay though & the almost instant loading times help the atmosphere a lot.
 
I've had a little play about with it, I'm glad to see 21:9 support as I just changed to that, As mentioned it's not hard to run, so far my AMD gpu's shown no issues I'll post if there are any as I'm going to spend a couple of hours in game now..

Thankfully it's not an expensive game so I can forgive it that.

Same for me, bought the 360 for this. Still one of the best games I have ever played.
I really hope the save system stays, it was one of the best things about the game. Not totally dumbed down! :)

I'll defend the save system too. Being cornered by 50 zombies after not saving for half an hour, with just a sledgehammer and a frying pan to try and battle back to the save point.... really helped with the claustrophobia of being stuck in a shopping mall overrun by the undead. IMO.

As for changes, from what I understand, all gameplay elements remain as in the original. I did see somewhere that they had added 5 save slots - but that it had previously been added to the 360 version (and therefore might be in this one too). Having not played the 360 one for 6 or 7 years, I don't know if this is correct.
 
Save games are currently broken for many on Win 7 & Capcom's attitude is they cannot reproduce the issue :rolleyes:

Looks like they managed to go one better than the Xbox 360 limited saves.........you cannot save at all on many OSes right now!!
 
Think I might end up getting this. Easily one of the most enjoyable titles I ever played back on the 360. Gameplay was awesome and it has some of the best bosses of any game!
