Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

Played it a fair bit over the weekend and really pleased to say it runs great, I've not noticed any glitches or bugs nor have I had any crashes.

Didn't spend much time with the first but happy to say this one is great.

Finished my first 72 hour run and really enjoyed it.

Going back to try and complete all the cases and rescue more survivors this time. You can carry your stats across which is good. (not sure if you could to this in the original)

Loved the original on Xbox360, I remember I was trying to do the 7 day survivor achievement and I had it all planned out and I had enough food stockpiled and holed up in a shop and then I forgot to eat at the right time and died on day 6 sometime, I was so angry I turned it off and never played it again so never got the full 1K on it!

Have picked the remaster up and like the QoL improvements to the controls so I might have another run at the 7 day survivor at some point.

Dropped this game for a while as I hit a wall and struggled to get past a few bosses and didn't want to do the grinding

Casual mode is helping me a lot. Yes, it's much easier with it, but it's also much more fun

Finished with this for the time being, completed the "A" ending and overtime mode.

Unlocked the infinite mode but I've got a lot of other games to focus on so that'll go on the backburner.

The original didn't really hold my attention but the QoL changes on this one made it a lot more enjoyable. Hopefully they can do the same for DR2!

I quite fancy playing this, I had the original on 360 but I remember not enjoying it as it was against the clock.
It is still against the clock but the fact it autosaves when you load into each new area makes it less stressful I think. There is still the time pressure involved though which can be stressful.

Looking online at similar requests people have made re. removing the timer and the answers I don't think I played the game the way it was intended back in the day.

I see now it's almost rogue like, you're not supposed to do everything in one run and progress carries over making subsequent runs easier/faster as you level up.

That makes more sense, not sure how I missed this back then but will blame it on my age at the time.

Will keep an eye for a sale to pick this up.

They've added a casual difficulty option too that makes you level up very fast.
