Dead Rising

dunno mate

it is meant to be pretty short by all means, but has loads of replay value

i played it for hours last night and got nowhere lol

enjoyed every minute of it though

although i am a complete zombie nut, so it's right up my street

this game is the reason i bought a 360, and worth every penny :D

I really quite enjoyed this last night. Played it twice, getting killed twice, both times before I got chance to save it again after leaving the Security Room (must remember to get to the restrooms to save there). Decided I'll start again tonight with my level 7 character, will make things a bit easier for sure.

What's the highest PP people have been getting for pictures? I managed one of just over 10,000 last night, pretty much by accident (a survivor gave a flying kick to a zombie at the exact moment I took the picture).

I don't think I'm taking enough pictures atm, must take more. My guy's level 11 now thanks to a good last hour last night when I killed the convicts in the car and Andy the clown.

I'm still having trouble saving guys though, only managed 1 out of the 6, the rest got eaten lol.

But having a blast, I'll try and play through and I imagine it'll get easier each time I level up and start again.

Can't see me getting bored any time soon though.

I use an SDTV with my 360 which I sit a few feet away from.

I couldn't read the text in the demo at all unless I got off the sofa and went right up to my TV, is the text exactly the same in this game?

Is there quite a lot of important text in this game or is it something I can get away with not reading?

Got 10000 as well off the machete guy. I'm now upto level 20. Just realised I've got the football tackle skill as well so going to try that out when I get home tonight.

no there is a lot of text which is crucial to the story

this is a known problem with dead rising, as it was only tested in HD by the developers

The security office is easy to find. What was the last thing you did, and I'll tell you where you need to go.

Just saw that women who wants me to help her partner and that's as far as I am.

That the man and women on the roof, near the start? I too struggled to find the security office from there. I thought the only way you can get to it is by going through the mall.

Not sure though.

I found that last night when a survivor tried to talk to me, I had to move from one side of the room to the other just to read it.

I came across that photographer survivor, I couldn't make out what he said or what I was supposed to do, because I couldn't read it.
Still got a few nice shots of him giving a flying kick to a zombies head :p

great game

will give a better review later

remember that all the demo weapons like the sword and uzi are in the same places

ive jsut died and had to restart 20 mins  but other than that, great game so far

So how does the save game work? Is it true you only get one save in the whole game?! (Says gamespot) I'm still at work so can't get to play it yet! :(

The game is pretty sweet, Ive not long found the chainsaws... muhahahahaha

how the hell did you kill them ?

gave me such grief, just trying to get across the courtyard

cheers

*** Spoiler *********************

Try and get the car stuck behind a tree, I'm not sure quite how I did it, I ran close to the walls making sure there were trees between me and the convicts and eventually they got stuck. Then shoot just the guy on the back who's shooting you (he's a pita and you need to time your shots between his) Once he's dead run up to the back of the car and use the gun he was using to shoot the other two. Not easy but doable.

The metal case version arrived for me yesterday. Very swish. Like the little guide to the mall in it, almost GTA like in its presentation.

Didn't get much chance to play though as I didn't get in till late. Good start and I know you can skip the cuscenes, but I have a feeling on repeated play throughs there's going to be an annoying 5-10min downtime when you have to skip-load-skip-load until you get into the game proper.

However, it does play fantastic, though I was shocked how weak the starting character is compared to his level in the demo. Died very quickly.

Also the game managed to almost toast my 360. The picture whet to hell, the colours went as if it was a very bad signal on analouge TV and the heat comming out the back of the 360 was roasting! Hopefully this was a one off glitch.
