whats the toilet short cut?

i've not seen this mini chain saw bit yet so i dunno what that is rly.
They are related. If you go to "Wonderland Plaza" and go to the ride when you have the scoop you fight a boss battle with a Clown (Alex I think) and when you defeat him you can have his mini Chainsaws (which are awesome!), you can then stop the ride and save the security guard. He then takes you to the toilets and shows you a shortcut through the mirror from one side of the mall to the other.

Firstly, please use capital letters and use full words, your posts hurt my eyes :p

Secondly, explore. You will find all the answers to your questions as you play. Much more fun than being told how to do everything. :D

No need to get your knickers in a twist, just a friendly jab. If you want detailed advice, go to gamefaqs and download a walkthrough. If you want to enjoy it don't ask for help until you get really stuck!

I had a few looks at the FAQs (I even have one in my work laptop bag)

I looked at tehm to get a grasp of the weapons. Sure it would be nice tor try them all out and find a personal preferance. but tbh the mini chainsaw is my personal preferance and the FAQs saved me probably about a million hours with the 27x multipier (tbh I would have never picked up the books otherwise)

Also I have read the FAQ when I was unable to get something to work the way I wanted it. Gill for example. I could not get him to join me. or if I have had issues reading/understanding the text on the screen. (I read the faq on this after completeing the game)

Other than all of that I played the game myself. I don't like to have the story spoilt so I will not read too much of the FAQs but generally I read them to get playing tips. Usually in hindsight of playing an area.

stuck at the minute, well kind of. I have leah who i have to carry and burt/aaron what ever their names are. Im at wonderland plaza and was about to fight adam that clown for the first time (never did him first play through). I leave the survivors in the toilet out the way hoping i can go and fight adam and they stay still, but noooo they end up at the ride after a minute or two and try to kill him as well. They get killed pretty much instantly! Whats best way to kill that clown? I think im gonna have to take these guys back to the secrurity room first which is not what i wanted to do.

Use left trigger and y to tell them to go stand in a corner somewhere.

Quickest way to kill him is to have a few pistols at the ready. Dodge all over and don't do anything until he blows his balloons. Pop them with the gun so he starts coughing and shoot him, or if you are feeling confident go up and smack him with something. Only hit him once though as after the first strike he brings up his chainsaws and breaks what you hit him with if you try and strike again.

Survivors that have been told to stand somewhere out of the way will always return to your position after a cutscene.

Hehe I know that, as I said about 10 posts back :p

But after the cutscene target somewhere out of the way. They'll spend the fight getting to it or standing there. Watch out though, especially in the case of the clown, that you don't run into them as you run away from him. If you see yourself approaching them, you have time enough to do an 'over there!' to the opposite side of the room.

wicked ill try him again in a minute, unsure what to do now do i try and recuse all of them or fight him first hmmmm. Got to kill the convicts as well could be tricky having 3 survivors as well!

dam you guys, i went to town today and bought this, traded in GRAW, got £15 for that so only had to pay 34.99 for dead rising

With regards to the clown. Put the survivours in the shop opposite the ride.

Run off and save, then start the clown fight. As soon as the fight starts send your survivours back into the shop. Then draw the clown away from that shop.

The Convicts are (IMO) a random entity. They seem to spawn in different areas of the Leasure park and provide a varying level of nusance. Sometimes I have had to fight them straight away other times I have got Sophie and all my survivours out of the park without incident.
IMO the best way to deal with survivours in this area is to grab the ones you need to carry and run down the left wall, get everyone else to follow and then when in a clear area waypoint them to the next area and kill any obstructing zombies. Get as far down the left hand side as you can. Run out to get Sophie. and fight the convicts if you need to.

Give your survivours guns Uzis and shotguns (or the next best weapons available) and make sure they stay away from the convicts. You will need at least one Uzi (I take two, just to be sure)

Right im getting some where now people thanks for tips :)

So far i have killed the clown and then i found gregg on the machine after stopping it again. I have warped to the first plaza and i managed to get sophie away from convicts and safe and keep the others alive! At the minute i have 5 survivors cooped up in a restaurant. Is there any place i can put them they wont leave? Like the roof top? I want to try and get as many together as possible before i rescue them all as i believe there is an achievement for rescuing a certain amount together? Only got 2 women out of my 5 so far and frank the pimp requires like 8?

If you leave an area with survivors in it, their health slowly deteriorates, even if you leave them in the toilets or somewhere the zombies can't get to. Also watch out that you don't 'trigger' survivors. Lets say you have a scoop that some survivors are in a shop, but you are running past to get somewhere else and intend to get them later. Avoid getting close to the shop as it will spawn the survivor, and even if they don't join, they'll lose health if you enter another area, and they are considered fair game for zombies :D

:O
Dead Rising is only £40 in Asda/Tesco.
Would rather have kept Ghost Recon and paid the extra £5.
