This game seems very popular, and although ive stuck with it for a while,, i just cant see the attraction, anyone else not like it, and for what reasons?

I only got this last week, I think Im still a little undecided on whether I like it or not. Certainly not grabbed me by any stretch of the imagination.

Will probably play it through a few times aiming for completing the cases and get to the chopper, then get rid. It certainly doesnt have much reply value once youve done some of the achievements.

It's tough at a low level.

The game really comes into it's own when you start to learn all the tasty hand to hand moves, and have enough health/speed to take on masses at a time without having to keep running for food.

Yeah at a lower level I hated this game, was too hard, wasnt really much you could do without having to constantly get food

But then once you get to the higher levels, the game becomes so much more fun, and like mentioned you learn all the awesome moves

Yeah, I think it helps if your into the whole Zombie genre. I love anything zombie related, I've no idea why, but just the idea of playing a game where you basically get to play 'Dawn of the Dead' was just brilliant.

I've been playing since release and still haven't got tired of just killing as many zombies as possible. Like others have said it does get better as you level up.

At first i found it frustrating but now (even though i'm only at level 14) it rocks, one of the best games i have played on the 360! i think a lot of people will agree it gets so much better when you get the chains saw's lol :D Like a knife through butter!!!

Yeah agree with most, honestly I HATED the game at the first few levels, found it very frustrating and it was gonna go straight on ebay. But I stuck it out and it is one of the best games I have ever played... I've played that for 8 hrs non-stop a few weeks back.

Stick with it, and I assure you, you will fall in love with it once you reach around lv 12+... and GTCole is spot on, get the chainsaw from Adam, and woohoo... I feel like playing this game now :)

I bought this game just after release after reading a couple reviews. It wasn't one that I desperately wanted but it sounded like fun.
I finished off the first case (1-1, 1-2 etc) and not gone back to it since.

I just found it a bit overwhelming tbh - not the number of zombies but more the size of the mall, all the different shops, the constant scoop missions - I never really knew where I was or what I should be doing.
I'm sure if I stuck at it I would really enjoy it but I've had so many other games to play recently that I've just never had the chance. I still have the game and I wont be trading it in until I get some time to play it properly.

Yeah I was the same, every second I was getting a call from Otis, and I was like well what the hell do I do now? Case files, scoops, have fun? but as I was kept reminded of, you CANNOT do everything in one sitting. The game is made to be replayed, and that it has been!

I've not played it for a while cos Im hooked on Splinter Cell (SC is my fav series of all time, so will take me a while to put that game down). But once I'm done there I will deffo go back to DR... it is fantastic.

Just do the case missions first, and if you can squeeze in scoops, then go for it... but don;t worry. If poss, at least go to collect a survivor now and then, cos you get plenty of PP for a person joining... if they die well so be it, once you gain a few levels you will have no probs getting the survivors back I can assure you that!

Its a classic!

Yeah, I totally understand this and this fact was one of the reasons I purchased the game in the first place - the fact that it is so short but is intended to be replayed several times.

I actually went back to it a couple days ago (hence why it's my 3rd last played game) for the sole reason of going on a zombie killing spree (currently got a 6 hour wait until case 2 begins), but I foolishly attempted taking on the convicts in the car in the park at only level 4 with a handgun, and died pretty quickly!

This thread has made me realise just how many good games the 360 has. I mean, I really like the Splinter Cell games too but I would simply have no time to play it due to me playing through several other games just now. And now, within the next couple weeks we're gonna have Gears Of War, Call Of Duty 3 etc... not enough hours in the day!

Tell me bout it :) Not to mention Resident Evil 5 next year... oh god I cant wait for that! The Resi Evil series competes with Splinter Cell big time, exciting times ahead for 360 owners!
