Hey guys,

Im thinking of getting the game in the next week or so. I just want your opinions on what the storyline is like, the game play, how easy or hard the achievements are.

Thanks

It's the kind of game you need to complete a few times to get a lot of the achievements, it's a good game in my opinion, however a little frustrating to begin with. It's quite open ended, so you do get to wander around quite a bit and just beat up zombies if you really want to.

I just got it and maybe I aint given it a good chance, might have a blast today infact :p , but seems like you could easily get bored of it!

Have to say i thought the same when i played the demo :(

Do you just go around swinging things at zombies.......er.......and is that it?

Oh and graphics didnt seem to do it for me.

Mick

Graphics are pretty impressive imo. Nope you do missions etc. although keep dying and still forget to save!! :p

Now I am levelled up to 11 and finding swords and stuff the game is much more fun. Seems to need about 1-2 hours gameplay before it gets going. Still find a few things about the game extremely annoying though.

The aiming system on the guns suck.

Do you have an HDTV?.

I tried playing this on my CRT flatscreen TV, but the text was almost totally unreadable. Havent tried it through the new Advanced Scart cable I got a few days ago, but using the standard Scart that comes in the box, it made the game pretty difficult to play.

There are two of the achievements are extremell hard to get and less than 100 worldwide have them. Ther's the 5 day survivor (65 people worldwide have this) and the 7 day survivor (51 people have this worldwide).

You'll have trouble getting ones like transmissionary and saint without a guide as they are very very challenging themselves and require you do do very specific things throughout the entire game.

You'll need to play it through at least once to level your character up, as the game really is no fun at all once you first play it.

And as ever, if any opf you haven't read my guide on this game, please check it out, as the number of people still not using adams demon chainsaws in this game amazes me.

Suarve,

Does the game end if you don't do the case missions?

As soon as missed cases i restarted. DR lets you keep playing but you cant get the true endings etc. Aint played it for ages tbh so i cant remember exactly what ending you'd get if you miss out cases. You can't unlock overtime mode either.

I really didnt like this game when I first played it but I gave it another go and now I love it.

Like the other posters have said once you get levelled up a bit you can enjoy it more.

Thanks for the info guys. Seems like a good game. A very good mate of mine got it the day it was released. Hes got all but 2 of those achievements and the two you mentioned he already has.

I just had a look at the guide and I think its a great idea that you put that lil' number together :) Thanks for the help mate. Im gonna get the game in the next few days as my mate is a pro at it and ofcourse he can help me loads. Once again thanks for the advise guys :)

Fair enough. Just wondering because Ill do the cases now, then in the future to just chase achievements I can just miss them :)

well if u want the achievements, i posted the way i did them in my guide. You defo need to level up first.

i got this yesterday, and i can say its a hell of a lot of fun. my favorite weapons so far are the sledgehammer, which is satisfying mashing zombies with lol. and the katana and battle axe :p

had mine since Christmas Day and had a good session on it yesterday. Actually restarted as I fluffed a case. It's really really good now on level 26. Highly recommended to anyone.

Oh to the SDTV people, buy yourself a VGA cable and play it on your monitor, so much better on that. I got my vga cable for £7 and it think it looks great, all the games look fantastic.

Katana and the Sword are my favourite so far, you can really slash your way through a hundred zombies really quickly.
