Dead Space 1 - Numeric Pad

As a lefty I find it a lot easier to play games using the numeric pad to control movement. However, DS1 won't let me map movement controls to my numeric pad (possibly because it's identifying 8, 4, 6 and 2 as up, left, right and down). I've tried toggling the Num Lock button but that hasn't made any difference.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this? Perhaps there's an .ini file somewhere that I can play around with?

Hello fellow leafy. In all honesty the easiest way to sort this is going to be AutoHotKey and make your own script to remap num8 to W etc... shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to sort.

Why on earth wouldn't he be serious? I use the number pad exclusively, and get extremely annoyed if I can't bind to it.

I'm completely serious. Playing with WSAD is very uncomfortable and using the arrow keys is a bit inconvenient due to the choice and layout of adjacent keys.

Being a lefty mouse user brings me some interesting comments when I game as I have my keyboard about 60cm away from my mouse and at an angle for optimum comfort when using wasd so I take up about 2M of space. I'm just thankful razer made a left death adder, I can now experience what righty ergonomic comfort is like.

Course I did. That was for DS2 iirc. Just an odd comment to make to a perfectly reasonably question.
