Just finished playing this and have got to say it has probably been one of the best games I have played for a long time (story wise that is).

If you are after something like silent hill or Alan wake with a great story line then this is for you.

But if you want great graphics and gameplay then I would stay away, it is neither the best looking game out there nor the greatest gameplay wise. But if you can look past that and like a good plot then I definitely recommend this game.

I finished it a while back now, I really enjoyed it although I have to admit that it is dire in parts and I completely understand why so many people slate it

I hated the ending too, it went way to crazy japanese after being relativity normal and spooky/strange for the most part

I have had it for a while now and not played it. Bought it on the strength of what people said on these forums. However I have not played it past the opening cut scene which was just tooooo weird. I have pretty much not touched it since. It seems a bit David Lynch which I have always found a bit unsettling and creepy and hence why I have not ventured further.

That said I cannot bring myself to trade it, thinking that I may be parting with a gem. Maybe one day that disc will go back in.

Completly agree its the best game I've played in years and years. It's really like playing an open world Silent Hill... amazing. The only thing I don't like about it infact is that the achievements don't stack.

Its strange this one but with Swervys next game I'd pre-order no matter what the concept, he can turn anything to gold as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't say it was one the 'best' games I've played this year, but certainly one of the most enjoyable. Anyone that enjoyed twin peaks and has a passing interest in survival horror should defo consider picking it up.

I can't think of any other factor more important than the amount of enjoyment you get from a game! Graphics, or individual systems means very little in isolation, its the sum of all its parts that makes a game great. :)
