Deadwood movie is happening

This has me more excited than any other movie/TV news this year, appears as though we are finally going to get a Deadwood movie.

I just pray they get the original cast.

People always throw out shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Sopranos as the best shows ever made, Deadwood gets missed out but should also be up there in anyone's top 5 shows.

I know there is already a Deadwood thread but news of this magnitude needs it's own thread ;)

Finally watched the trailer, not sure why it took me so long. I worry it's going to be more fan service than solid story though, especially considering Olyphants comments a few weeks back.

It's given me an urge to go through the first three seasons again, I wonder if I can manage before the end of the month.

Yeah but i've got a two year old taking up my spare time and maybe time to watch an hour of TV a day that the missus will also like, can't see her getting into this :(

It's not all bad though, she generally watches the same things as me, just not a fan of westerns.
 
Olyphant pretty much said in all recent interviews he wasn't overly impressed with the story but was just happy to be working with the cast again.
