Well my Death Adder finally arrived today :)

I am liking it, it glides very smoothly, is very sensitive and fits nicely in my hand..a couple of things ive noticed though..

It seems very picky about the surface its on, the table I use has always worked fine for me with both a Logitech v500 and a run of the mill Intelimouse. However the Adder quite often trails off by itself even when im not touching it :(

Has anyone else noticed this? All the reviews I read before buying implied it never did anything like this while being reviewed..does it just need a decent mat?

Thanks for the reply, would you suggest the steelpad over Razers own? Ive updated to latest firmware (Beta ones released a few days ago), I had to before the driver would spot my mouse in Vista.

If you want the best for glide, go for the steelpad sx, absolutely amazingly smooth and precise tracking, easy to clean and you can tell it'll last unlike most cloth pads...

Steelpad is way smoother than razers own, but I guess its personal pref. Another good thing about the sx is that it doesnt have a giant footprint so its not too bad for deskspace. Its brand new to the market but it is a bit pricey...

I like the look of the SX :D Havent found anywhere to buy it yet though..do you use one Plethora?

Found the S&S for around £16.

I bought mine direct off the steelseries site, along with a gaming glove and siberia headset (steelseries fanboi :O) Yes I'm using SX and its the best pad I've used, peroid (I've had a few... razer, steelseries 5h, qpad)

Gamin glove?

Link please, sorry for hijack but my wrist cant take anymore :(

When I got my deathadder i also got the razer eXactMat as well and am very happy with it especial as it has a control side and a speed side the only downside i have with it is that it's a bit big for the space i have but that is because i am limited as i have a computer cabinet rather than a desk.
