Death Beam on a CS:S server

I am playing about with a gungame server and am trying to get the red death beam to show when you die but am having no luck. I don't want the full mani_admin_plugin just for that 1 thing and the SB one i found didnt work. Does anyone know how to get it working?

Its a server addition, not a user option IIRC. As far as i know you cant just turn it on and off, you have to be on a server with that feature.

use the talk button 'y' and type in "settings"

Press retun and there is an option to turn deathbeam on or off.

Thats how i do it.

Is there a way to enforce it for the server?
