Random but rather funny article i read today, basically more Britons died on the Titanic than Americans as we were polite and queued for the lifeboats.

Surely more Brits would have died because the boat was travelling from the UK to the USA resulting in there being a higher percentage of Brits on board anyway?

I notice this a lot living abroad, although the Czechs are actually polite and queue well for foreigners some still think it's acceptable to skip the queue completely just to ask the person serving a question. I do what is expected of a true Brit and just give them a scornful look

I would be willing to wager they spent a while arguing that, being British built (well, Irish actually iirc), it would probably fail to sink properly and would be a international laughing stock.
