Deathadder = pure class.

Definately consider the Exactmat. It may be pricey, but it is hands down the best mouse mat and wrist rest money can buy.

Plus it is a full metal surface. Mine is still mint after more that 5 years of use.

compared the DA to the G5:

Glide: G5 is the winner in my books. the Da i think hasnt got enough glider space on it but the G5 is just right, altho it has a slight balancing issue on the right.

Feel: I will say thought that the DA does feel gr8, im using my old 1 at work and i never have any problems. However, the g5 has a stupidly designed right side, theres a dip in the middle side of the right which makes it feel uncomfortable when using it for the first time. however over time you get used to it, but it is still a pain.

Software: Very....VERY slight advantage to the DA, found it easier to use. However the logitech software is very unique.

Effectiveness (overall ingame performance): Althought the feel and custimizability of the DA wins in those areas, the G5's ability to be gr8 at any game type (i usually play TF2/GTA4/L4D/L4D2/CSS) i feel a lot more accurate with my shots and the pin point accuracy is slightly improved with the G5.

Overall Preference: G5

Althought i absolutely adore the DA, the G5 just performs better in my POV. the DA does look better as well if your setup is mostly black with a matching keyboard and mouse. but you cannot go wrong with either mouse, any will do!

One thing you missed (as did when refering to my G9) is the cord. I hate it (on the logitech). Any one else feel the same or just me? The DA's cord is much better imo.

I have the Deathadder guild Wars Edition:

It matches my Saitek Cyborg, and orange Acer G24 monitor :)

Same one as me. I wanted the other version guy didnt have any in were i got it from.

I have myself a Deathadder too, can't fault it what so ever. Got a Lycosa and Razer Sphex on its way too :D

Yeah, Deathadder is a fantastic mouse. I had mine for a solid two years, and it was fantastic from start to finish with one small issue on mine being one of the side buttons springs broke.

Only one mouse (imo) is a suitable upgrade to it, and thats the Mamba, obviously if you are willing to pay for it :P (I did, and my god this mouse is awesome)

Another deathadder here and must say i can't fault it had it over two years now and it still is going strong apart from the scroll wheel button which is beigining to stick, but that may be as i always map it to reload so it gets a lot of use :)

Using the Exactmat as well and it's pretty good as well but it's starting to go a bit on the control side due to my kids having drawn on it spilt stuff etc....

I have the mamba and have gone back to my logitech MX revolution.
The battery on the mamba only lasts 2 days and the scroll wheel rubs.
Last time I will be investing in razer mice although I love my razer lycosa keyboard.

tbh i dont have issues with the cords, but the g5 does have a nice none rubbery/plastic one which helps it not get caught on stuf....i duno D:

ive got a copperhead and its beginning to do my nut in

I bought one of those not long ago to replace my original model (1600dpi) diamondback after it's button went dodgy, I was disappointed with it compared to the old diamondback.

It just doesn't feel as responsive, always seems to be a very slight bit of movement lag and it "twitches" really badly on most surfaces, even though it uses a laser instead of an LED. It also doesn't feel as comfortable or as solid either.

So I decided to fix the button on my diamondback and went back to using that :P

I have and am still using the Copperhead, I've never used any other Razor mouses so i cannot compare, but i love it and have since i bought it.

Its extremely responsive, and i have found no movement lag since i've had it, as long as you are using the up to date drivers and firmware this Mouse is also great.

Isnt the Lachesis better than the Deathadder though?

I didnt want to pay twice as much for one though when I got the Deathadder.

I used a diamondback and saitek eclipse combo for a good 5 years, then when I upgraded my 19" monitor to the orange Acer, I were more than overdue for a new mouse and keyboard to go with it. My diamondback and eclipse were all worn and tattered, my trigger finger had burned through the left buttons rubber coating, and the paint on the WASD and a few other keys had significantly peeled off. I got the GW Deathadder for £25, and Cyborg keyboard was £45, but worth it over the Eclipe III just for the orange and red customisable lighting :p.

Now Ive spotted a red lachesis around, and am keeping an eye out if I can find one at £30 or less.

Have you guys registered your Deathadder?

Not sure if I need to get the 2 years warranty or not, or if that just applies to the USA and Canada.
