Deathproof

I'm a massive fan of real B-movies, Grindhouse, cheap horror and I found this a massive let-down.

For a self-confessed "movie addict", Tarantino missed the whole point of Grindhouse altogether.

Here's hoping Rodriguez's half is better.

The car crash & more importantly the lapdance scene , saved it a bit, but still a bit of a letdown ...........

Maybe old Quentin-T , has lost his touch ?

Not a great film but it had its moments, I did like the end sequence it just took too long to get there, each section could (and should) have been rounded up in about 20mins.

If i was that bothered, id spend £10 and get myself a lapdance instead of watching one!

It was 95% crappy dialogue between women which was snooze inducing, 5% action and even then it could have focused on the cars a little bit more!

Will be in the £2.99 bin at Tescos etc in 6 months time.

wasn't there even any totty? :(

There was a fair bit of eye candy IMO. The lap dance girl was also in 24 called Claudia (sp?), she looked different in this but still hot. Then there is the cheerleader, she was looking very nice in deathproof, i think shes also in Die Hard 4.0.

I thought it was pretty good, defiantly not as good as i was expecting when i first heard about it but still a good watch.

Sorry to go against the grain, but I thought it was awesome! Very funny, and a bit wtf  at times, but awesome. Best ending in any film ever too! :p

nah i thought it was really good film, stuntman mike is now a legend of a character and up there with jackie brown, and mr blonde.

Basically a load of irrelevent and dull dialogue with two enjoyable action scenes. Wait for the DVD.

he seems to be a shoe-in at the moment - the sort of director, or producer who puts out films that can get you into a genre - I enjoyed the action scenes in Kill Bill, and it made me want to check out some of the films that inspired it, so I did. Can't say much for Grindhouse, as I don't even know what it is!!

I think it looks awful.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 were fantastic, but i think tarantinos style is just getting repeated over and over and he lacks originality now. His time seems to have passed.
