I'd very much like to debadge my car. When I did it to my old E30, it left glue marks on the paintwork. At the time my (now late) father used some kind of cleaning fluid which took the glue off VERY easily.
Any recommendation on what I could use to do the same?

Petrol, brake cleaner, white spirit.

Of course wash well afterwards, and you'll want to put a couple of layers of your favourite wax over it, as it won't have been waxed in the past.

i used to boil the kettle and tip it over the badge for a couple of mins... used to fetch it off easy after with minimal residue. :)

cant remember what i used for the left over stuff though buti think i basically just rubbed my finger over it and it used to roll off.

methelated spirit is what i used.. works a treat and since t-cut and polish and wax, i doubt you could prove it was there previously!

:)

Now sorted. Looks better without. More to the point, I'm hoping that the drongos on the road think that it's a 318.
Just need some T-cut to blend in the slightly shadow thats left in the paintwork from the old badges.
