So i've been thinking. Looking around at various cards the reviews are usually very positive and people say their sound improves drastically.

I've never used a sound card and don't really know what to look for. I love my music and am a keen gamer so sound is an important factor for my rig i guess.

I own a set of Logitec Z4 2.1 Speakers and a beautiful Roccat Kave headset (5.1)

What would people suggest for around the £50 mark? I've been looking at the Asus D2X but i can't stretch to £90 for something i'm unsure about.

I would preferably like a PCI-E card over a PCI.

Many thanks.

Creative Soundblaster Z OEM for around £54, would be a great choice. Has separate connections for speakers and headphones on the card, so no need to use the front audio connections on your case or 3.5mm splitters in order to connect both 5.1 speakers and headset; just change output in the software controls.
