I have an account with Natwest (normal account) and I have had a debit card for a few years which is a Service Card 100. Does that mean I can only spend £100 per product or something? I've never been clear on this issue.

Thanks.

No. As far as I know, it means your cheques are only guaranteed UP to the value of £100.... you could in theory spend a million pound in one transaction - but it woudln't be guaranteed.

Ah, so I could go online now and buy items from OCUK with my debit card for say £500...Providing I have money in the bank?

I would have thought so, yes.

I think that's the point of a debit card... :D

Unless you've been given a special one that limits your spending.... if so... this Nigerian friend of mine....

Sounds like Cheque Guarentee to me :)

The common daily POS (point of sale) limit is £30,000 so im sure £500 will be fine.
