Decent brake dics and pads ?

A quick snoop on Buypartsby gives discs for £14.25 + vat each & pads for £21.66.

Discs will be QH & pads Mintex

Oddly EBC OEM pads are listed at £13.55?

Do you know what brake fade is?

I seriously doubt your wife would get it from carting the kids about.

But I may be wrong, in which case grab some AP Racing 4pots and get the brake fluid purged and chuck some dot 5.1 fluid in.

Reminds me of my sister! she has 4 kids, a Merc e320 cdi Estate and keeps warping the discs due to her, erm, "spirited" driving style!

She probably WOULD benefit from the AP's for the school run!:D

Pagid or Brembo are decent and not massively expensive as long as you don't go for the performance stuff.

Ive got Vetech discs on the back of my volvo, these are GSFs own brand and they've lasted well.

If you go cheap, get cheap discs and decent pads. Mine are Mintex all round.

I have Mintex discs and pads all round. Nothing wrong with them. Obviously not as good as the Greenstuff pads I had previously, but they do the job just fine.

Think a front discs and pads kit cost me £45 inc del from the auction site.

Haha OP bolted at #8 and left a thread of helpful people to talk amongst themselves. Classic.

Indeed.

so instead of just quoting me twice, you could have wrote , no they will be rubbish but no you prefered to be a ****

I dont really know why i bothered asking here, my mistake.

Nice ninja edit, and yeah i've looked at EBC already so might take your advice or rather the advice of a random bloke on google coz he wasnt being a **** to the guy that asked for advice

This forum is a weird place, disliked by many, appreciated by those who know to read through the, erm, banter......

His loss tbh.

Tested on mountains

I'm a member of a car club and most of the guys buy Apec. They always fit easily and they last. One of our chaps has a Porsche and he uses them, so you won't have a problem from fade. We looked into their web site and they test on mountain passes to avoid fade problems.
