Looking to start streaming console play, what is a decent capture card? Think that's what they are called, also are they PCI-E or can you get alternative ways as all 4 of my PCI-E slots are full :(

Just buy an xbox one or ps4 instead, a capture card wont be required.
Whats going to happen to all the capture cards once people move over to xbox one and ps4 ?

They will still use them. Will be easier to get the videos to YouTube than direct from console. Will also be easier to edit for people on a PC.

You will be able to stream game footage, but no overlays or live edits. (That I have seen anyway) The stream will also be heavily compressed which won't be great for editing.

Didn't know about this one, I've been looking at a replacement for my BlackMagic Intensity Pro for a while.

I have just ordered this :)
I've considered getting one myself but I don't think I have the time needed to put out proper gaming videos with commentary and what not. Shame really as it's something I think I'd like to try at some point.

If you're confident and and have a sense of humour go for it, there's money to be made if you're good!

Aye, that's part of the reason I fancy trying it. I've seen some channels that (in my opinion) aren't actually that good, yet they get tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of hits per video, and I imagine they're making a nice bit of change from it.

I still need to put together my Dark Souls One Hit Challenge videos and get them on YouTube. If I do that and enjoy doing it I'd be much more likely to give it a go.

I'd love to do gameplay commentaries and stuff on YT, I just need a decent PC setup to be able to do it properly. Oh and there is the time element, if I have a PC capable of doing work at home I'd be spending more time doing that.

It does look good but not quite as crisp as I would expect. Is this because the PS3 is using analogue output?
