I've got the Gigabyte M6800 mouse. Can't say I'd recommend it, I have a weird issue with it sometimes when I scroll and it'll bounce up and down webpages which can be really annoying.

I also had the other version of the Zalman keyboard which felt very cheap to use and the spacebar was awful. A better keyboard in the same price range would be this one, although I'm not sure on the dimensions: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-011-OP&groupid=702&catid=23

Must be roll of the dice, have no issues using that mouse, this might be a reason to not buy it, might get a dodgy one and perhaps my missus was just lucky. Nice feeling mouse though.

However when it comes to keyboard and mice, buying cheap comes back and bites you, the missus has been through a dozen or more £5-15 keyboards in 5-6 years, I went all out and bought a G15 at the time, still typing with it right now.

Splurge alittle bit :D

Logitech K360 (honestly the best keyboard I have used to date included mechanical's)
Gigabyte M6800

Well the Gigabyte M6800 looks like a no-brainer here, maybe yours was just a bad one, Tom? If not, and they are all like that, OcUK has great CS so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The OcUK Gaming Keyboard looks like it'll be the one then, I'd love to splurge Matsy but I have a ton of outgoings at the minute and I'm just counting myself lucky I can afford this afterwards. Although, I may hold off and grab the K360 because I'll be back in the black in a week or two. I'm not someone who's OTT about mice and keyboards though tbh. As you said Gibbo; I've been using a cheap £10 combo from ASDA since I got my PC and it's done me fine, but they're both a little on the worn side to say the least, just looking for something that'll give an obvious quality difference and have more than a years lifespan. :p

Thanks!

£20 is a fair whack for a mouse, I'm not somebody who'd ever spend huge amounts on peripherals regardless. Is the quality of the G300 considerable then? Cheers!

Depends what you spend your time doing on the rig. If it's just browsing the web and occasional typing etc etc then you can get a cheapo keyboard and mouse bundle for £20ish.

I suggested the G300 as it's not really that dear (it's all relative I do realise that). It's ambidextrous so good for anyone and also has a decent DPI which will help for gaming. It's extra buttons can be programmed to do whatever you want. You can set 3 different profiles and the LED changes colour so you know which profile is active. The software supplied can automatically load saved profiles for different games to make life easier.

Check reviews and look on youtube, if you don't think it's worth the cash then fair enough bud

I'd recommend the standard HP black/silver keyboard. They mass produce them for office use so they're a) durable and good for typing and b) you can find them everywhere, I got 2 from a charity shop for a few quid each.

It does sound good! I take it the mouse-keys work in ARMA? That would be amazing for switching optics etc. as I'm pretty slow and muddle up which keys do what on the KB. :p

I'll buy the G300 next week, my current mouse is 400dpi I think and had no issues in game at all, so now it'll be easier to aim I take it? :)

It's 2500 DPI and has 6 buttons you can customise. So yes it will make life in ARMA easier or any other game for that matter. The mouse wheel is recessed quite a bit into the mouse but it's hard to fault it for the price.

Please note it's on offer this week, if you buy next week it might well be closer to £30

2500 DPI  awesome. Is it at all fiddly, meaning can you easily get those 6 keys mapped/profiled without all that faffing about?

I don't own it bud, just going off reviews. There is a review HERE you can read but as I said you'll find it being demo'd on youtube too. Hopefully that'll cover most of your questions :)

The LEDs change through 3 different colours as you can have 3 different profiles stored in the mouse. Personally I'd use the software in windows and let it auto set the profile when you launch the games. As I personally have a Zalman Z9 Plus with blue LED fans I could set the LED to blue on the mouse to help colour code everything together......for £20ish it's hard to grumble for what you get :D

Think I've read and seen enough to want it. :p Can not at all moan for £20! What would you say the lifespan is on the OcUK + G300?

Not hijacking the thread but I can't find a keyboard that I can get used to. Currently using a Logitech K360 but the keys feel so stiff.
