Decent lawnmower brands?

My bosch rotak has finally died and now I'd like to buy a decent one which should hopefully last the next few houses.

The problem is I have no idea what's good in the world of lawn mowers

Any recommendations on a reputable brand?

Or even a decent mower (a well built one not like this plastic bosch one)?

For what size lawn? Petrol, mains or battery powered?
Budget?

Decent sized lawn, not talking ride on or anything.

Petrol or mains, whatever is more powerful.

Budget, few hundred max.

Currently have the rotak 340er which has power output of 1300 I think. Need one more powerful than that.

After lots of back and forth online I went to a local mower repair shop and they sold me an MTD Smart 46 for a decent cash price. 125cc Petrol engine with 18" width rotary thingy. Fella in the shop recommended it over the Mountfield there, said its much more reliable.

It's only a medium sized one but to me it's a beast. Effortless mowing through any length wet or dry. What used to take me close to an hour takes 20 mins. The power, ease of use and awesome grass collection make it an absolute winner along with its solid build quality. Love it, should have bought a decent big petrol years ago!
