How so? It doesn't really "do" much, plays music/video ok, but doesn't do anything extra, hence MM beats it by being unbelievably extensible

I have started using winamp recently after many years of using itunes.
But I am having stability issues with it running under vista64 I have version 5.54
I like it and would like to stick with it but it going kinda screwy now. I have used foobar in the past and I just couldn't get use to it.

Plays music and video as well as any other program. Has a really nice UI, intergrates well into Vista and uses the same breadcrumbs navigation. Allows me to rip in WMA, MP3 or Lossless, updates tags easily (although I use a seperate program). Also burn CDs and buy music.
So it "does" quite a lot.
Can't really ask it to do anything else. Only thing I want added is podcast support.
