Just getting back into my mtb after a long lay off due to be a lazy sod. I have lost most of my tools bags along the way can anyone recommend a good online store to use?.

I don't know how good ordering from the website is because it is still my 'local' bikeshop of choice but Edinburgh Bicycles do have various stores across the country now and the service has always been pretty good in store from quite knowledgeable staff.

Support your LBS! Or, at the very least, give them a chance and use an online retailer if they're unable to meet your requirements.

My LBS is extremely competitive on tools and usually costs the same as some of the larger e-tailers out there. But if you haven't got a LBS or it's rubbish, you'll find everything you need and more on the sites listed in the other replies.

Wiggle
Merlin

NOT Chain Reaction

CRC have good prices, but their deliveries are frankly appalling. I order a set of lights and stem on the Thursday for the following weekend, they shipped the Friday, and by the Friday the week after they were still stuck in Welwyn Garden City as the courier had lost them. I know of countless other folk that have had similar issues.

Oh, and don't even think about Dave Hinde, just Google for complaints about them.

EDIT - and as semi-pro waster said, Edinburgh Bikes are ace. Not the cheapest, but in person they're excellent.

Merlin - superb shop. I tend to buy stuff from them, then get the LBS to put it all together and do my servicing for me. :)

Surely that's a courier problem if they were shipped the day after? I've always found them to be reliable but courier quality varies depending on the local depot in my experience.

I use Stif or CRC. Mainly Stif as it's my local bike shop :P

Wiggle or Merlin.

CRC used to be good but they hold bugger all stock now and delivery has become rather slow.
