Decent OSX-compatible Mouse?

I purchased a retina MBP a few months back, about 50% of the time I use it at a desk connected to a screen with a separate keyboard + mouse. Up until now I've been using a cheapo wired mouse, but now I'm looking to buy something better (not the Magic Mouse or Magic TrackPad, I don't particularly like either).

So far I'm looking at either the Logitech Anywhere MX or Logitech Performance MX. Does anyone have any experience with either of these mice, or have alternative suggestions of fully OSX-compatible mice? Max budget: £100.

What sort of work do you do on it? For non-specific desktop use I'd be looking in the £30-£50 price range for a good mouse, no more than that.
 
Either of those logitech mice would be my choice.

I have used the 'cheaper' of the two, and it was a great mouse to use. They really do track on anything, including glass.
 
I have the Performance MX mouse, on a desktop machine. The Anywhere MX may suit better if size/portability is a concern. Any questions in specific? The software works well, better than the MS software - the rest I think is down to personal preference.

There are some high street retailers with them out on display so you can try them out for size.

The laptop is mainly used for programming (Sublime Text / Xcode) but also some light Photoshop work and gaming.

One of the main concerns was being able to adjust the sensitivity and configure all the additional buttons under OSX, are you able to do that with your Performance MX? Previously I had a Logitech LX7 wireless mouse, but it was terrible under OSX, I needed to use a mixture of SmoothMouse/USB Overdrive/ControllerMate to make it 'feel' usable.

I have quite small hands so the Anywhere MX might be better for me, I'd like to try them both out but haven't been able to find any high-street retailers with them on display (only boxed).
 
I love the Performance MX, highly recommend it. Very comfortable and enough buttons for me (I use fwd, back, desktop, mission control). For advanced config you will need additional software, it's for same for every mouse in OS X.
 
I've got the anywhere MX and its great. Works perfect on osx too. I imagine both mice you mention are great mice, and its just a choice of size/form factor/portability.. rather than 1 being better than the other.

Personally i'd rather have a portable mouse, to go with a laptop... but if you're just going to leave it on the desk 100% of the time maybe you don't want the portability.

I tried that, didn't like it. The scroll wheel no longer free spin if you flick it with speed. The tilt on the mouse takes too much force as opposed to swiping on the magic mouse. It is not as responsive as the magic mouse either which was surprising.
 
I'd always go with a Logitech, bought a MX1000 several years ago, still works perfectly, do they still do 5 year no fuss warranty?
I remember i had 1 issue where the mouse didn't charge, they simply asked me to send the original charging station back with cable cut, and they posted me another brand new one, mouse included, so i have 2! :)
