Sorting out our new offices at the moment and I'm in need of a decent ADSL router which supports Annex M, 802.11n, and can handle download/upload traffic (20mbit/2mbit) and 4 - 5 VoIP lines with no trouble/hassle/etc (so has good QoS).

We don't need VPN support at all.

I've found the Draytek Vigor 2820Vn but this seems a bit of overkill? How are Linksys these days?

I've always had cable so not too familiar with ADSL routers!

Interested to hear what you think of it; I might be getting my hands on one at some point in the not-so-distant future.

We have a 2930 in one of our small offices, its OK for the money but not that great compared to proper kit or evenstuff like Mikrotik Routerboards which I've recently discovered wipe the floor with DrayTek on VFM terms, though they are more akin to a poor mans Cisco than a "normal" SOHO/SMB router.

DrayTek in generally can be a bit buggy, broken features aren't that uncommon and they also do some strange and quite irritating things that you don't notice until you come to try something.

Our 2820n crashes quite often, to be perfectly honest, i don't think they're worth their reputation, our old Draytek crashed quite often too.

I'm just waiting for the chance to replace it with a Pix i haven't yet got round to configuring (it only routes ethernet, we're not using the ADSL)

If you want to look at something in the meantime on a very tight budget I can happily recommend picking up a Mikrotick RB750, should set you back about £40 or so and the feautres / performance of this little box is simply amazing.

same here, i have 2820n and 2600vg and both draytek routers are not all that they are made out to be. regular crashes and need to be restarted. the onboard hardware is not all that impressive either.

going to now replace them with Mikrotik Routerboard solutions.
