Guys, looking for a little input here please.

I currently have (rig in sig below) a GTX260 installed in my system, which, whilst great, is not DX11 compatible.

Now, I also happen to have a brand new boxed 5770 sitting beside me.

My screen is 1680 x 1050.

Question is, do I....

1 - Stick with the GTX and forget about DX11 for the time being

2 - Swap the GTX out for the 5770

3 - Sell both, put the extra to it (maybe £50) and get a 5850

Haven't got a clue what to do, but one thing I do know is that I am not spending a lot of money to change. I will pay up to £50, but that's it.

My gtx'x performe well handles any game at 1080 but it dont stop me from wanted to get some 470's,
So moral off the story if you stick with your 260 you'll always think i would like but if you just get it you'll be happy :D

Option 3 or a new option 4 (which is what I'd do). Flog either one of the cards and put the money towards a 2nd gen DX11 card probably due by the end of the year.

Yeah, this could well be the best option. I might just offload the 5770 before it loses value.

I have another option.

You have the Abit IP35 Pro, so that means crossfire. Sell the GTX 260 and buy another 5770 either now or in the future and crossfire.

5770 have low power requirements and two of them in crossfire won't use much more power than your single GTX 260.

i'd probs just sell the 5770 before it loses value and save the money for the next gen dx11 cards, as current gen ati's don't seem to have much tessellation power and there aren't many dx11 games out that really noticeably show it

this is especially relevant if your 260 is still performing fine

sell the 260 as it is old now and going down in price so sell that and get another 5770.

the longer you keeep the 260 the more you lose on it with the new card's being out.

Thanks again guys. I was considering a 2nd 5770, but the 4x 2nd lane really limits the potential, so I ruled that out completely.
