I currently have a 150mb VM connection, using their own superhub2 which is downstairs close to the tv which is hard wired for Netflix etc.

The main PC in the house is upstairs (straight above and one room to the left of the SH2) and is currently connected using powerline adapters which only have a rating of 200mbps. According to speedtest i am getting approx 60mb of this currently.

Which is likely to give me the easiest/fastest solution? -

Buy bigger powerline 5/600mbps?
Buy a wireless adapter?
Try and get Cat6 drilled on the outside of the house - would i need special external cable etc?

thanks for any thoughts you might have

I went the external cable route, and extremely happy that I did. You want external rated cable, main issue is UV resistance.

always properly cat cable if you can. very easy to run outside and back in

powerline adapters in use at the moment may be speed capped by your old wiring more so than the adapters, but cant tell without trying.

wireless is okay i guess.. dependant on how OCD you are and what you use.
