In the decking? I wouldnt personally as it creates a weak point, talking from experience.
Thats a small light isnt it? Mine are twice the diameter maybe more, might explain it tho.A 25mm hole shouldn't have an effect on decent deck board that's supported properly
Yeah, just looking at small LEDs. I can see how 50mm+ could change thingsThats a small light isnt it? Mine are twice the diameter maybe more, might explain it tho.
Do you have any pics? What height have you fitted them at?Not deck lighting as such, but I use these in the garden and imo less hassle than cutting into decking.
LED Lamps
At moment I have one on the decking and will get some pics tonightDo you have any pics? What height have you fitted them at?

Agreed. Getting the exact same style, colour, fitting type is a nightmare if one goes. From my experience as an electrician buy a few spares. Invariably water will get into them at some point then you'll have the unenviable task of trying to find some replacements that match the hole size and design of the remainder.
For this reason I avoided installing any at my previous place that had a decking.
@aVdub I'd be interested in seeing a pic in the dark to see how it lights it up. Cheers
