Decking

My decking joints are too tight and rain water often ponds on the decking
I cannot remove the screws to reset the joints between the planks
Can I just drill a few holes in the decking to allow water to drain
Would I need to treat the holes with decking oil to prevent water rot

Yes just drill a few holes all over to spread the draining water and maybe treat the holes when dry.

It should be sloped so that water runs off
