This is because they are really well made and will still work when on tour or in a club. 1210's may not have as many features, but simple is good. They are also fairly easy to service if you're confident doing that sort of thing.1210s still rule the Club scene![]()
indeed, as they are not "packed with features" they are ultra reliable and rarely go wrong.

Why change what isn't broken? 1210s still play records at a consistent speed and without any gimmicky better than anything else on the market. Analogue might be old-fashioned but it's damn reliable.
If people want all those things you describe then they can choose to spend their money elsewhere and best of luck to them. But to say 1210s are a 'thing of the past' and 'relics' is completely missing the point. They do a job and do it well. At the end of the day that's all some people want from their decks.
Technics seem content to stick with good old-fashioned obsolescence (1210 M5G excluded) and plenty of people are happy to stick with their products.
