Morning!

I have looked for the most suitable area of the forum to post in, so I hope this is ok!

We currently have our domain registered with 1and1 (I didn't set this up!).

They are causing us a 4 hour delay because they are temporarily blocking a critical IP for a client of ours and this is resulting in a 4 hour delay for a time critical task.

I can't afford to have any downtime, so my view was to purchase a dedicated server register a domain that is for our time critical clients and provide them with the new email address for this server.

We would then be in control of our white/black list? and have a faster mail server.

Im writing to see if anyone can recommend the fastest email servers in the UK, along with full control, as opposed to being on a shared platform?

Any recommendation in terms of speed and customer service would be appreciated?
 
What is their reason for blocking the IP Address?
What is your budget?
What are the email accounts being used for?


Define white/black list.
If you server is compromised/vulnerable/sending out spam then your IP will more than likely be blacklisted.

Speak to them as they will normally lift this. The normal reason is your sending to much to this ip. We had this issue when one of our firewalls was misconfigured and sent every allow rule hit as an email.
