I'm sure this has probably been done to death in the past but I couldn't find any threads on it whilst searching. So sorry if it has already run its course.

Is it worth it, in this day and age, to buy a smaller GPU for dedicated PhysX? I'm 99.9% sure that it's not a necessity with my build and with the amount of games that come out, it's probably not worth it either even if there was a significant gain.

I had a look up and there seems to be only a handful of games per year which support accelerated GPU PhysX as most are now running of the CPU. Boo!

Regardless, I've been tempted to pick up a GTX 750Ti to be paired with my 980Ti just to give the main gpu a bit more ability to stretch its legs.

Is this worth it or am I just thinking of new ways to waste money? I wouldn't be surprised if this was all of the latter.

This might help...Linus on you did a test but with older cards, try searchng.
I think it was hit and miss. With these newer cards it's not needed. As far as I can remember....

I did see that video on YouTube but it was a few years old so wasn't sure if much has changed since. It does seem to be hit and miss or users who have it say its worth it and those who don't say it isn't. So confusing!

It has, click search and type in the title you gave the thread, you will get two threads (not including this one) on the first page that will tell you everything you need to know.

I did search but they didn't come up. Mods, feel free to delete this post. I'll do a bit of digging up.

Thanks
