Howdy

I've tried using the above software a couple times now with a batch of 10 or so exposures but don't seem to be getting anywhere lol
I'm taking the pictures correctly but I'm unsure of how to get DSS to stack them.
Whenever I try it, I end up with 1 single, skinny type portrait shot, not a full size landscape shot I'd expect to see.
I'm adding them by selecting 'open picture files', selecting the batch I want (which are all showing as lights), then checking all and following to options to continue, I've tried a couple different methods and not getting anywhere, so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone uses of has used this in the past and could possible point out where I'm going wrong before I sit in a field for hours taking picture for nothing lol

Cheers

DSS - from memory - takes the union of all pictures. Because the world is turning, only a small (depending on how long you've been photoing/which way your camera is) which is common to all pics. From memory (again) there is an option to take the complete image rendered rather than the one that is common to all pics.

Sorry I can't be of more help ;)

After you load the pictures, check all of them, then click stack. Then, change the stacking mode in the top left to mosaic. This will create a panorama. You should be able to ignore most of the other settings if you are creating a panorama rather than combining exposures.
