Default Microsoft icons

This is a bit of a trivial question, but where can I find the default 16x16 icons (e.g. open, save, delete etc.) used in most Microsoft programs, such as Office and Visual Studio? I've seen them used in several other programs I've used, but I can't work out where they are

Shell32.dll :cool:

(Why do I know that when I haven't done any Windows programming for years? I don't know. So I guess I could be wrong.)

They're not in shell32.dll - well, some of them are, but not most.

You can try

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\VS2005ImageLibrary\VS2005ImageLibrary.zip

Within that zip, they're in VS2005ImageLibrary\icons\.

Edit: there's loads in the bitmaps section too.

Hmm, most of the bitmaps have pink backgrounds... do you know of any program that can process images in batches?

Edit: Nevermind, C# solves all problems, as usual :cool:

Edit 2: Apart from 16-bit and 32-bit bitmaps apparently :confused:

Aha, didn't realise the pngformat folder has all the same icons as the 32bitfolder folder... has a different number of files from ther other folders.
