Have had outstanding debt for quite some time from a power bill from a student flat last year.
One guy paid up his share, me and another didnt.
All letters where addressed to me, and the debt collection agency only contacted me, this was after telling them several times there is another guy as well.
They continued to only contact me, after admiting that the other guys name was on the account as well.
Now I have had a default put against my name. This came just after I had started my first payment to the debt collection agency.
They said they cannot withdraw the default even though they can see I started making payments.
Two reasons im ****** off, first it is me with the default even though my flat mate was just as liable for the money. And also it came just after I started making payments to get rid of the debt.
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing, or any advise? Is there anyway to force Scottish Power to withdraw the default reg.
Any advise would be much appreciated.
