I wasn't sure where to post this as there isn't an RGB section so maybe this is the best place. I have a Gigabyte X570 Master but I doubt the question is motherboard-specific.

Due to the issues caused by Gigabyte Fusion I have uninstalled it. I am using OpenRGB and although my graphics card is listed as supported, controlling its RGB has been unreliable and I no longer bother with it. I have an EK CPU WB and an EK reservoir, both with RGB, and I guess I do appreciate having them on low light so that I can see inside the case and maybe see a leak if it happens. Ideally I'd have these RGB lights set to white, and for a while they were although the PC would always boot at full brightness and I'd need to use OpenRGB to dim them. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough but I can't seem to make it automatically set RGB to my settings after boot.

Now I recently experienced a BIOS failure (which I hope was just a glitch) and took the opportunity to flash the latest stable BIOS. Now after boot the RGB has defaulted to dim red. Whilst red is not my preferred colour, the low light level is OK and so I am inclined to accept it because it seems to be the same after I boot, even if I have changed it using OpenRGB before shutdown. But I am wondering why red? Is that some sort of default for these programmable RGB systems?
