Although my overclock is stable with runnig prime95 for an hour, I have noticed windows 7 takes twice as long to startup, what could be the reason for this with it occuring only after overclocking?

i have i5 @ 3.6ghz and ram ocz platinum 1333mhz at 1440mhz 8-8-8-24 1.5volts and mobo is asus p7p55d

Possibly a driver conflict ?

Hmm.
Have same issue on my AMD PII 965
will try to downclock RAM from 1600 do default 1066 or so...
but it would be strange if thats the case lol

even when I put ram back to default settings it starts slow...I can even say that W7 is loading slower than on my laptop which has core solo 1.3ghz...
once it loads it is really snappy.
but windows is loading slooooow....
ideas ???

im 2:10 and mine is well fast loading! Could be that the first time after booting an overclocked system window is adjusting system files to take it into account? What are subsequent boots like after the first one after the reclock?

it would appear to be? altho im a complete rook at memory ratios, so if anyone could answer ricardox and also explain to me the significance? :D

Try to switch off AHCI if you have it switched on....
Just switched mine off and there is huge difference ;D

Wouldnt thought it would be that lol
