    Awesome. Only the other day I was playing this with MAME and failing badly. So hard to get the controls intuitive. Need a good arcade game controller for something like this.

    I remember when Defender first came out, I was at school and we used to pump 10Ps into the thing in the chippy at dinnertime. Bloody thing nearly ruined my hand with it's 25 million buttons.

    Still a bloody great game though.

    The problem with Defender was that Steve Davies loved it. That made it very uncool indeed. :->

    As soon as I read the thread title I got Defender sound effects in my head - a truly memorable game.

    Lordy.

    Just tried it out and it's just seems so wrong. Plus it only fills a quarter of my screen and the rest just flashes white. Maybe I chose the wrong executable as there were three of them in the zip.

    BBC's The Tripod's theme tune at the option screen though?

    Nice conversion I suppose but like so many conversions it lacks the power of the original.
