Hey,
I'm using Windows Vista's defragmenter tool. I have a hard drive with about 180gb of used space. So far I think it's been running for about 2 hours - is this normal? My system is only about a month old too.

So what benefits does defragmentation have? Fast loading applications? A more responsive OS? Maybe game frame-rate boosts? Less memory consumption?

Defraggler says I have 51GB of fragmented files. Does this mean that once it's finished I will have regained 51GB?

Edit: Ah nvm, that's probably a really stupid presumption.
