Dehumidifier info required

I had a Meaco desiccant in a house a couple of moves ago - works really well. It had a couple of modes, but the turbo mode also heated the air.

It died after about 1.5 years as Turbo is only meant to be used sparingly after which the heating element failed.

Thinking of getting one for this place.. yes it does take electricity but it's a good solution.

Since I have had ours it's turned on in bedroom for an hour each morning after we get up - timer turns it off and half fills tank in about three days - Start's at 90% and is down to 68% after the hour.

I ordered the http://ecoair.org/dd122fw-mk5-classic.html the other weekend and it turned up yesterday (unusually slow delivery for Amazon). Anyway ran it last night with some washing hung up. There was hardly any condensation on the windows around the house apart from our bedroom which had loads, but that was because the door was closed. Normally when drying the clothes, overnight the patio door is streaming in the morning. This wasn't the case with this on for a couple of hours when we went to bed.

Not a bad piece of kit.

I have a £200 ebac dehumidifier but is massively outperformed but an old Matsui DH 200 dehumidifier that was left in my house when I bought it. I highly recommend tracking down an old working Matsui dehumidifier! :)
