Looking to buy a Dehumidifier for my house (3 Bed). Any advice would be great. Also, any products to go for would be helpful. Thanks

A dehumidifier is a good thing to go for if your house has lots of Condensation and mildew etc. I have read up on it now and i quite like the ones in B&Q. The Airforce one for £150 looks awesome. Can be noisy though.

I already have one which runs constantly in a room with a piano in it. My house is generally damp as it has solid walls and I'm having problems in the rest of the house due to the wet weather. As a result I bought a new, more powerful one that B&Q have just started doing apparently. It's supposed to be able to produce up to a huge 60 litres a day so I'm expecting it to be very effective hopefully. The only issue is that's it's a bit loud on the highest setting but if it cuts down on mould and other effects of damp, it's worth it :)

Which one did you buy please? Cost? My house has solid stone walls and suffers from Mould etc. Thanks

Thanks for info. I may take the one i have now back to B&Q as it does give off a strange smell. Been running for a couple of days now, on and off. It is a noncompressor type. Not a lot of water from it.

Ah well, back to the drawing board! The Dehumidifier i bought yesterday (Compressor Type) is just too noisy!! Its going back today. I will have a look at the other ones they have. Seen one with a large tank and just a dial on it. Might try that one?

Took the Dehumidifier back. Might get the Dessicant one instead. It did have a smell coming from it but that may go in time?

The One i just took back was way too loud even on low setting. The Compressor would kick in now and again and it was really loud!

The Dessicant one does have a fan and on low it is not too bad. At least you don't have the compressor kicking in!
