Im a water cooling noob, so just wanted to check something.
It seems from what Ive read that deionised water is recommended, does that include the standard deionised water you get from car spares shops?

Yes it is fine but you need to make sure you have a corrosion inhibitor, sometimes it can be easier just to buy the pre-mixed stuff, my loop with cpu, gpu, 2x240 and a res was less than a 1L.

Hi rush
That coolant already contains everything you need and its a pretty good price too, you will not need anything else with it.
Depending on the size of your loop and given that its keenly priced I would suggest maybe doubling up and putting the spare away incase you change your loop or you have the recommended 12 months change of fluid :)

Yea pre mixed is easier and is ready to just throw in your loop straight away. Use hot water followede by dionised water to flush the rads first though to ensure they are clear of crap.

This, warm water in the rad, swill it about a little and pour it out, then put in a bit of deionised (Halfrauds own Battery Topup Water will do it) and swill it about a bit and tip it out.

Just purchased some Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 and a silver kill coil - do I need to add anything else to the water?

Should be ok but its the make of hose you need to worry about with the
Plasticizer Problems ive still to buy mine yet.

Tygon is the worst tubing for depositing Plasticizer. Go with Primochill, i been using if for years.

Tygon is the Rolls Royce/Bitspower of tubing, if anybody has ever had any plasticizer issues with it that's 100% down to user error (buying the wrong grade of tubing for use in water cooling), Tygon food/medical grades will not have that issue (which makes sense as it would kill people).
