Deja vu anyone else?

I have always thought it was a situation or chemical in the brain which makes you feel like you have experienced it before. My long term memories do seem to have a certain feeling or sensation attached to them. I think it is when a situation is similar and it triggers that chemical sensation again and you get that feeling.

Makes sense, a recent study found the short and long term memories are written at the same point, so if there was a mis-sync between them or something that would explain it quite easily.

Minw are much different though, a couple of days ago for example I was sat in the car down the driveway updating the satnav when I suddenly thought to myself "I've been here before (had a dream about it 5-6years back at least), and two jehovah's witnesses will walk round the corner and down the drive next"
nothing happended, but then 30seconds later there they were, infecting my ear with rubbish :p

How can I have the thought, actively turning it over in my head prior to it taking place?
