Delay after pressing pc's power button

Hi,

There is sometimes a delay after pressing the power button on my pc. Atfer I press it, it turns on very briefly for about a second, then goes silent for around 5-10 secs before turning on normally.

I have noticed this happening for maybe 2 weeks now

Should I be worried?

I was thinking it could be caused by dust, havent opened the pc up for a while now

Sorry been busy all day, it's an Asus P7P55D-E. I'll try opening it up and cleaning the dust when I get time.

Well that is good to hear. Strange that it didn't seem to happen before though.

Just to let you know my problem turned out to be my PSU dying. It eventually didn't boot at all. After I got a new PSU there was no delay, same motherboard.
