Delayed write failed!!

Just a quick question.

Could a lack of sufficient power cause delayed write failures?

I was having this problem some time ago on a SATA drive so, thinking it was fubared I bought a new one and all was well (for a while) then it reared it's ugly head again.

The reason I suspect the lack of juice is because this problem only started after I installed a Radeon 9800 which needs to be connected to a power supply.

AMD 64 x2 3800
ABIT AV8 3rd Eye
400 watt PSU
2 SATA drives
1 IDE drive
2 DVD drives

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

To be honest I can't remember what make it is but I know it's nothing fancy.

After buying the Radeon I thought it best to get a bigger power supply and thought any 400w would do.

Maybe not?

Fingers crossed my new 550W should sort things out.

I guess only time will tell.
